Bhutan may be small, but it packs a lot of punch with its stunning landscapes of dense woods, jumbled paddy fields, craggy mountains, and green valleys. It is roughly the size of Switzerland. You may explore the captivating landscapes and rich cultural diversity of Bhutan by traveling along the Himalayan roads on our "landscapes of Bhutan" tour.
On your first day, you will see the monasteries and temples dotting the forested mountains as you travel to Thimphu, and then you will see two of our most well-known landmarks.
Today, you will go deeper into Thimphu City's exploration, visiting the national library and the art school. the National Institute of Traditional Medicine before strolling to the magnificent Buddha Dordenma in the evening
The itinerary for today will take you to the picturesque Dochu La Pass and then to the charming city of Gangtey. After arriving, you'll have time to have a leisurely stroll through Gangtey before seeing the historic altars and fortifications of the enormous Gangtey Goemba, which is perched at the valley's top.
We travel farther into Bhutan till we arrive at Bunthang Valley, a blessed and hallowed place. We will make a halt along the route in Trongza, the royal family's ancestral residence, where you may explore the majestic dzong and take in the breathtaking views of the valley below. We enter the Chhume Valley, which is the location of the renowned Yathra Weaving, after passing via the Yotong La Pass.
We investigate the ethereal valley of Bunthang in Depth on the fifth day. The tour includes visits to both the more contemporary factories where you may sample the region's alcoholic beverages and numerous centuries-old monasteries.
We begin our journey back today toward Punakha, the warm valley of various crops and the former center of Bhutan's administration and religion.
As you explore the Punakha valley, you'll first go to the magnificent Punakha Dzong and then take a short climb to the Khamsun Yuelley Temple.
We arrive at Paro City, our ultimate target, today. You will stroll a short distance to the Tachogang Lhakhang shrine before arriving in the city. You will cross the nation's oldest iron bridge throughout the hike. Next on our itinerary is the 7th-century Xyichu Lhakhang, a pair of temples.
The Tiger Nest, Bhutan's most well-known monastery, is reachable after a three-hour climb. After the adventure, you can relax and recover your tired muscles with a traditional hot stone bath in the afternoon. You will eat and take in a cultural program in the evening.
You bid Bhutan farewell this morning. You will be driven and escorted back to the Paro airport in time for your departure.
