RETURN: 19:00 ROUTE: HCM City – Cu Chi district – HCMC Itinerary: Morning: Begin your day with a visit to the Independence Palace, also known as the Reunification palace, was built on the site of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu and reflects the history and architecture of Vietnam. Continue explore the beautiful structures from French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral and the historic Central Post Office. Then visit the War Remnants Museum, which offers extensive exhibitions detailing the Indochina wars. Lunch: Enjoy a meal at a local restaurant. Depart for the Cu Chi tunnel, approximately one and a half hours bus drive from the city . Upon arrival, before exploring the tunnels, you will have some short of introductory video explaining about how the tunnels were constructed and how people survived in the harsh conditions of the wartime. Then, spend your time to explore the tunnel Network , which included living areas with kitchens, bedroom,and the other martial facilities like storage, weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers- all designed to meet the daily needs of those who lives inside the tunnels . You will also see many hidden trap doors and defensive traps within the tunnels that provide security during the war. After the exploration ,enjoy traditional special tea and cassava, the staple food of guerrilla fighters during the war will be served. There will be some free time to relax, or for those interested, an opportunity to try shooting at a real firearm. Return to Saigon. End of the Tour. RETURN: 17:30 ROUTE: HCMC - My Tho - Ben Tre – HCMC Itinerary: Leave the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to My Tho, a charming town located on the left side of the Mekong River. Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda, an elegant structure dating back to the late 19th century. Then board a traditional sampan and cruise along the river, passing the four scenic beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands. Stop over at Unicorn Island and stroll along the peaceful country lanes, exploring orchards and testing fresh tropical fruits. Enjoy traditional folk song music which is performed by the local artists and visit fruit plantations to learn about the region’s agriculture. Continue your journey with a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and taking in the tranquil beauty of the countryside. Visit a local family business and honey-bee farm, enjoy testing honey tea, Discover the process of making traditional coconut candy workshop. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. Followed by a short Break In the afternoon, Cycle around Tan Thach Village, meeting local villagers and experiencing daily life in the Mekong Delta. For guests who prefer not to cycle, relax in a hammock and enjoy the cool riverside breeze. Return to Ho Chi Minh City. End of tour.
